Are you looking for a great summer camp program for your Scouts?

Saskatchewan has several incredible opportunities available for summer camp programming in different camps located in various areas of the province. You are sure to find what you are looking for! Some of these camps have been in existence for more than 40 years, and have provided many adventures and memories. We invite you to come and experience some of the most scenic areas that Saskatchewan has to offer!

Each of the camps will instruct youth, as well as scouters, to build their outdoor skills in a safe and comfortable environment. These camps teach Scouting values and a unique appreciation for Mother Nature in all her grandeur, as well as development of their leadership skills. There are a wide range of activities that will appeal to all Scouting youth. All of these camps have varied "standing" programming that is available each summer at different times and for different ages.

Please click on the title of each camp for more detailed specific programming and contact information.

Anglin Lake Semi-Wilderness Camp is located in Great Blue Heron Provincial Park just inside the incredible northern boreal forest (north of Prince Albert). This camp offers a true youth-led experience as all programming is provided by the Saskatchewan Service Corps Group (Scouts & Ventures) youth ages 13-17 and is customized based on your youth's interests, age and experience. No previous experience is necessary. It can include, but is not limited to paddling, hiking, shelter building, camp skills, knots & lashing, and pioneering. Off site campsites are available for overnight excursions (hiking or paddling). Groups come self contained for food and gear. Camp is open on weekends in May/June and all summer during the month of July. You pick the length that works for you.

The following camps all have progressive 5 to 7 year programs. Most of their Directors are themselves graduates of the camps. All three offer 8 day adventures and wilderness camping expereinces for your youth.

Campanoe Challenge (CC) is located in Good Spirit Provincial Park. This is primarily a water-based program that goes from peaceful lake to river to shooting rapids on the Churchill River system in Northern Saskatchewan. Experience outdoor adventure at its finest in this beautiful, pristine and rugged environment. Perfect your paddling skills while working as a team to navigate the path of the voyageurs on the Churchill River. Camp runs during the last week of July.

Camp Pianue is located in Moose Mountain Provincial Park.  This is a water and a land based program that combines overnight lightweight hiking, backpacking, canoeing and pioneering skills and projects. Experience the beauty of the outdoors in this well-treed campground in one of Saskatchewan’s first provincial parks. Poplar and birch trees and a hilly topography provide ideal conditions for outdoor adventure activities, while the lake provides an ideal environment for paddling fun. Camp runs during the first week of July.

Wilderness Rendezvous (WR) is located in the West Block of the Cypress Hills Provincial Park. This is a land-based backpacking and orienteering program with basic hikes of 8 – 10 km, progressing to a 50 km trip in two provinces. The spectacular Cypress Hills Provincial Park offers some of the most breathtaking outdoor scenes in the southern part of the province, such as the Conglomerate Cliffs and a spectacular outdoor night sky. Camp runs during the first week of July.

All of the programs are based on Traditional Scouting values, which focus on teamwork, trust, honesty, support, and friendship. Camping is done in the way that Baden Powell envisioned it many years ago, complete with the smell of wood smoke, campfires and camaraderie. Scout camps offer the true outdoor experience that is rarely found in our modern age, while creating memories and skills that last for a lifetime.

Scouts Canada, the country’s leading youth organization, offers challenging programs for boys, girls and youth age 5-26 in thousands of individual groups in most cities and towns across Canada.
