Open event for any scouting youth ages between 12-14 that are interested in becoming a member of the Saskatchewan Service Corps. The Sask. Service Corps is a specialized venture group that runs a camp at Anglin Lake. Every year we run an orientation camp for youth who are interested in becoming a member. It is a one week long, intense camping experience where we test the the capabilities and maturity of the youth.

Scouting experience strongly recommended. This is not a typical "summer camp". It is an extreme adventure camp that will require them to think on their feet, compromise, learn quickly and work as a team to camp & survive. It targets those youth looking for additional challenges in their outdoor adventures who are looking to become responsible, skilled leaders holding volunteer positions at camp.

After orientation camp, anyone wanting to join our Venturer Company is invited to do so.  Venturer meetings occur approx once/month during Sept - April, where we do more training & team building to ready us for running the Anglin Lake Scout Camp. The Saskatchewan Service Corps serves the Anglin Lake Scout Camp, providing programming and camp maintenance for weekends in May & June and for the whole month of July to Scouting sections from around the province.  Volunteer Camp staff positions are filled from this trained group of youth.  A minimum of 2 weeks volunteer committment (spread out from May to July) is expected.

The fee covers camping, group gear (tents, stoves, etc) and food costs for the whole week.  Application forms are due by Jul 15, so we can plan food & supplies.
